The 2015 Honda Fit is the 3rd generation of this amazingly roomy subcompact. Honda of Superstition Springs in Mesa, AZ has plenty of this hot new hatchback and are ready to find you the perfect one. If you live in Phoenix, you’ll find we’re closer than you think, too.
Nissan’s 2015 Versa Note is one of the lowest priced cars on the market, but it gets there by leaving out features you just end up paying extra for.
Fit vs. Versa Note Crash Tests
It’s much harder to get a small car to score well in NHTSA crash tests, but Honda did their engineering homework with this new Fit. In every test they do, the Fit scored 5 out of 5 stars. In the front crash tests, driver and passenger, the Nissan Versa Note gets 3 stars and just 2 stars respectively. Because of those test results, Versa only scores 3 stars for Overall Frontal Crash Safety and a 4 Overall.
Fit vs. Versa Note Drivetrain
One of the ways the Versa manages to have such a low starting price is a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmission; The fuel efficient CVT only comes on the S+ and above trim. Honda offers a 6 speed stick or the continuously variable automatic transmission on even the lowest trim. The magic of the CVT delivers decent acceleration with good fuel economy, 31 city/40 highway in the Versa Note, 33 city/41 highway in the Fit. You give up a few mpg with the manual, but the Fit is still better than the Versa; the 4 speed automatic isn’t even worth mentioning
Fit vs. Versa Note Standard Features
Nissan took many desirable features out of the Versa to arrive at the $1,500 lower MSRP, compared to the Honda Fit. A few of these include:
- Power windows
- Power door locks
- Cruise control
- Keyless entry
- Tilt/telescoping steering
- Rearview camera
- 2nd row head restraints
- Split folding rear seat
The Honda Fit has always been known as an innovative subcompact, and this all-new 2015 is the most innovative yet. Come see the fine folks at Honda of Superstition Springs in Mesa, AZ and get a great big deal on a great little car.
